Living Alongside Loss
A 6-week intimate grief cohort for people who are tired of grieving alone.
Not everyone you grieve is someone you can talk about at the office. Not every loss comes with a funeral. And not every person who says “let me know if you need anything” actually wants to know.
This group is for the grief that doesn’t fit neatly into other people’s comfort zones.
Maybe you’ve already lost someone and the world has moved on but you haven’t. Maybe you’re watching someone you love disappear slowly and you’re grieving a future that’s dissolving in front of you. Maybe both. Maybe it’s something else entirely that nobody around you would even call grief.
It counts. And it deserves more than “I’m fine.”
Living Alongside Loss is a 6-week virtual grief cohort that meets weekly for 90 minutes. It’s not therapy. It’s not a support group with worksheets and homework. It’s a room where you can put the script down, be honest about what you’re carrying, and be in the company of people who aren’t going to flinch.
We’ll move through a progression together: from naming what we brought into the room, to exploring the gap between the grief we perform and the grief we carry, to sitting with loss in our bodies, to honestly reckoning with how grief has changed us. Some sessions will be conversation. Some will be quieter, more somatic. You’re welcome to bring coloring, knitting, or any hand-busy activity to any session. This isn’t a “sit still and share” space. It’s a “be however you need to be” space.
I hold this group as someone who’s been sitting with death, grief, and the body for years. I’m a certified death doula and integrative somatic practitioner, and I’m pursuing a PhD in human development. But more than any of that, I’m someone who believes grief doesn’t need to be managed. It needs room.
